Make this simple, refreshing watermelon smoothie. It is a quick, hydrating drink perfect for beating the summer heat or enjoying as a light snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups frozen watermelon chunks
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
  • 1/2 cup cold water or coconut water (adjust for desired thickness)
  • 45 ice cubes (optional, if watermelon is not fully frozen)

Instructions

  1. Place the frozen watermelon chunks, lime juice, optional sweetener, and water into your blender.
  2. Start blending on a low speed, then increase to high speed.
  3. Blend until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. Stop and scrape down the sides if needed.
  4. If the smoothie is too thick, add a little more water, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach your preferred consistency.
  5. Pour the smoothie into glasses immediately and serve cold for the best refreshment.

Notes

  • For a low calorie watermelon smoothie, skip the added sweetener. Watermelon is naturally sweet.
  • If you want a thicker, almost sorbet-like texture, use only frozen watermelon and skip the ice cubes.
  • Add 1/2 cup of frozen strawberries or a small frozen banana for a Watermelon Banana Smoothie variation.
  • This recipe is naturally vegan and dairy free.
