Make this rich, creamy salted caramel chocolate martini at home for an elegant after dinner drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz vanilla vodka
  • 1 oz dark chocolate liqueur
  • 1 oz creamy caramel liqueur
  • 0.5 oz heavy cream or half-and-half
  • 1 tablespoon salted caramel sauce, plus extra for drizzling
  • Ice
  • For rimming: Coarse sea salt or chocolate sprinkles
  • For garnish: Chocolate shavings or a drizzle of caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Prepare your martini glass. If you want a salt rim, spread a thin layer of caramel sauce around the rim of the glass using a small knife or your finger. Dip the rim lightly into a shallow dish of coarse sea salt or chocolate sprinkles. Chill the glass.
  2. Measure the vanilla vodka, dark chocolate liqueur, creamy caramel liqueur, heavy cream, and 1 tablespoon of salted caramel sauce into a cocktail shaker.
  3. Fill the shaker two-thirds full with ice.
  4. Seal the shaker tightly and shake hard until the outside of the shaker is very cold, about 20 to 30 seconds. This chills and slightly dilutes the drink for the best texture.
  5. Strain the mixture into your prepared, chilled martini glass.
  6. Drizzle a small amount of extra salted caramel sauce over the top of the drink for presentation.
  7. Garnish with chocolate shavings or a small drizzle of caramel sauce before serving immediately.

Notes

  • For a less sweet drink, reduce the caramel liqueur to 0.75 oz.
  • You can substitute the vanilla vodka with a plain vodka if you prefer the caramel flavor to dominate.
  • If you do not have heavy cream, half-and-half works well for a slightly lighter texture.
  • To make this a truly decadent chocolate martini recipe, use a high-quality dark chocolate liqueur.
