This recipe delivers a sweet and tangy glazed chicken using maple syrup and Dijon mustard, perfect for an easy weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, olive oil, thyme, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to create the glaze.
  3. Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish.
  4. Pour half of the maple Dijon glaze over the chicken, turning to coat both sides.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes.
  6. Remove the dish from the oven and brush the remaining glaze over the chicken.
  7. Return the dish to the oven and bake for another 10 to 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  8. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • You can use chicken thighs instead of breasts; adjust the cooking time as needed.
  • For extra flavor, sprinkle a little fresh parsley over the chicken before serving.
  • This glaze works well when pan seared; cook the chicken on medium-high heat until browned, then reduce heat and finish cooking through.
