Make this ultimate cream cheese pizza dip for your next gathering. It is a warm, cheesy, baked appetizer that captures all the flavors of your favorite pizza in a simple, dippable format.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can pizza sauce or marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup mini pepperoni slices, or more to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped black olives (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper (optional)
  • For serving: bread cubes, pita chips, or vegetable sticks

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease an 8-inch or 9-inch pie dish or small oven-safe skillet.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, 1/2 cup of the mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, oregano, and black pepper. Mix until the ingredients are smooth and fully combined.
  3. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly into the bottom of your prepared baking dish. This forms the creamy base layer.
  4. Spoon the pizza sauce over the cream cheese layer, spreading it gently to cover the base.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese over the sauce layer.
  6. Top with your desired toppings, such as pepperoni, olives, and bell pepper.
  7. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the dip is hot throughout and the cheese on top is melted and lightly golden brown.
  8. Let the dip cool for about 5 minutes before serving warm with bread cubes or chips.

Notes

  • You can prepare the dip layers up to 24 hours ahead of time. Cover the dish and refrigerate. Add 5 to 10 minutes to the baking time if baking directly from the refrigerator.
  • For a spicier kick, mix 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes into the cream cheese mixture.
  • This dip is excellent served inside a hollowed-out bread bowl for an impressive presentation.
