Make this easy Italian Hoagie Dip, a creamy, cold appetizer that tastes just like your favorite deli sub. It is a perfect crowd pleaser for game day or any party, served with crackers or bread.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped ham
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped salami
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pepperoni
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped green bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives, drained
  • 1/4 cup banana peppers or mild pepperoncini, drained and chopped

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix until smooth and well combined.
  2. Fold in the shredded provolone cheese, ham, salami, and pepperoni into the cream cheese mixture. Stir gently to distribute the meats evenly.
  3. Add the chopped green bell pepper, red onion, black olives, and chopped banana peppers to the bowl. Mix until all the vegetables and meats are incorporated into the dip base.
  4. Transfer the Hoagie Dip to a serving bowl. Cover the bowl and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving. This allows the flavors to blend.
  5. Serve your cold deli dip with sturdy crackers, crostini, or crusty bread for dipping.

Notes

  • For a sharper flavor, substitute some of the provolone cheese with sharp cheddar or Monterey Jack.
  • If you prefer a slightly warmer dip for a cooler evening, you can bake this mixture at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes until bubbly, but this recipe is best served cold as a no bake dip.
  • You can prepare this dip up to 24 hours in advance. Keep it covered in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve it as a party appetizer.
