Ingredients
Scale
16 ounces cream cheese, softened
8 ounces blue cheese, crumbled
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup finely chopped green olives (pitted)
1/2 cup olive brine (from the olive jar)
2 ounces gin (optional, for authentic flavor)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and black pepper to taste
Extra chopped olives and olive oil for garnish
Instructions
Place the softened cream cheese, blue cheese, sour cream, chopped olives, olive brine, gin (if using), and garlic powder into a medium mixing bowl.
Use an electric mixer or a sturdy spoon to beat the ingredients together until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
Season the dip with salt and pepper. Mix briefly to combine.
Transfer the dip to a serving bowl.
Cover the bowl and chill the dip in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Before serving, garnish the top with a drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkle of extra chopped olives.
Serve cold with crackers, pita chips, or fresh vegetables.
Notes
For a non-alcoholic version, simply omit the gin. The brine and olives provide plenty of martini flavor.
You can prepare this dip up to 24 hours ahead of time. Keep it covered in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve.
If you prefer a smoother texture without large blue cheese chunks, blend the dip longer or use a cream cheese alternative for the blue cheese component.
