Make this simple, sweet and savory appetizer using only three ingredients in your slow cooker. This dump and go recipe is perfect for game days and potlucks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (32 ounce) bag frozen, fully cooked meatballs
  • 1 (12 ounce) jar grape jelly
  • 1 (18 ounce) bottle BBQ chili sauce

Instructions

  1. Place the frozen meatballs into the basin of your slow cooker.
  2. Pour the grape jelly and the BBQ chili sauce over the meatballs.
  3. Stir gently until the meatballs are coated with the jelly and sauce mixture.
  4. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 3 to 4 hours, or on high for 1.5 to 2 hours, until the meatballs are heated through.
  5. Stir occasionally during the cooking time.
  6. Set your slow cooker to the ‘Keep Warm’ setting for serving. Serve with toothpicks for easy grabbing.

Notes

  • For best results, use a quality BBQ chili sauce for a balanced sweet and spicy flavor.
  • If you do not have frozen meatballs, you can use fresh, fully cooked meatballs, reducing the cook time slightly.
  • To keep the meatballs warm on a buffet line, use the ‘Keep Warm’ setting on your slow cooker or transfer them to a chafing dish.
