Ingredients
Scale
1 pound ground beef
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/4 cup finely diced dill pickles
1/4 cup finely diced yellow onion
10–12 egg roll wrappers
1 large egg, beaten (for sealing)
Oil for frying, baking, or air frying
Instructions
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, breaking it apart as it browns. Drain off any excess grease.
Stir the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper into the cooked beef. Cook for one minute until fragrant. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
In a bowl, combine the cooled beef mixture, shredded cheddar cheese, diced pickles, and diced onion. Mix until evenly combined.
Set up your rolling station: place one egg roll wrapper on a clean surface with a corner pointing toward you. Brush the edges of the wrapper lightly with the beaten egg.
Place about 2 tablespoons of the filling near the bottom corner. Fold the bottom corner up over the filling. Fold in the left and right corners toward the center.
Roll the wrapper tightly upward until you reach the top corner. Moisten the final corner with egg wash to seal the roll completely. Repeat with remaining filling and wrappers.
Choose your cooking method:
Deep Fry: Heat 2 inches of oil to 350°F. Fry rolls in batches for 3-4 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
Air Fry: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F. Lightly spray the egg rolls with cooking spray. Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crisp.
Bake: Preheat oven to 400°F. Place rolls on a baking sheet, spray lightly with oil, and bake for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden.
Serve your crispy cheeseburger egg rolls immediately with your favorite burger sauce or dipping sauce.
Notes
For extra flavor, add 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce to the cooked beef mixture.
If you want a ‘Big Mac sauce’ style dip, mix 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish, 1 tablespoon yellow mustard, 1 teaspoon white vinegar, and a pinch of paprika.
You can prepare the filling ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator for up to two days before rolling.
