Ingredients
Scale
4 bone-in or boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides lightly with salt and pepper.
In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, and onion powder until the sugar is mostly dissolved. This creates your simple pork chop marinade and glaze base.
Place the seasoned pork chops in the prepared baking dish. Brush half of the brown sugar mixture evenly over the tops of the chops.
Bake for 15 minutes.
Remove the dish from the oven and brush the remaining glaze mixture over the chops.
Return the dish to the oven and bake for another 10 to 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees Fahrenheit. The glaze should look slightly caramelized.
Remove the pork chops from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra moist pork chops, you can marinate the chops in the glaze mixture for up to 4 hours before baking.
If your chops are thicker than 1 inch, you may need to increase the total cooking time by 5 to 10 minutes.
Serve these sweet and tangy pork chops with mashed potatoes or roasted green beans for a complete meal.
