Make the famous Big Mac sauce at home in just five minutes using simple pantry staples. This recipe delivers the perfect sweet, tangy, and creamy balance of the original special sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Sweet Pickle Relish
  • 1 tablespoon Yellow Mustard
  • 1 teaspoon White Vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder

Instructions

  1. Gather all your ingredients in a medium bowl.
  2. Add the mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish, yellow mustard, white vinegar, sugar, paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder to the bowl.
  3. Stir all the ingredients together until the sauce is completely smooth and uniform in color.
  4. Taste the sauce. If you prefer it tangier, add a small splash more vinegar. If you want it sweeter, add a pinch more sugar.
  5. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the Big Mac Sauce for at least 30 minutes before serving. This chilling time allows the flavors to fully combine.
  6. Serve this easy burger sauce on your homemade burgers, with fries, or as a quick dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For a lower-fat version, substitute half the mayonnaise with plain Greek yogurt.
  • This homemade special sauce tastes best after chilling for several hours, but 30 minutes is sufficient for immediate use.
  • This sauce works well as a creamy burger topping or spread for sandwiches.
